The question is, 'How durable are Grizzly Coolers?' I've got a story for you. It was 7 am and I was amped up to be setting off on an adventure. I got the kayak strapped down, the truck loaded, and I was on my way to my favorite weekend fishing destination in UP NORTH, Minnesota. I35 was busy, but I didn’t care, I was 2 hours from complete solitude.
My favorite piece of equipment for this trip is easily my
Grizzly 40. I count on my outdoor cooler to keep provisions cold for the entire excursion and it never lets me down. It feels good knowing my G40 is strapped down safe and sound in the back. “Wait, I strapped it down right?” “Did I?”
First I heard a scraping sound, then I looked in the rearview mirror just in time to see my tailgate lying open and my lime green G40 bouncing off the highway and right into the path of an 18 wheeler. No joke, the cab of the semi was also lime green! This encounter was, unfortunately, meant to be. I mean, I didn’t even close the tailgate! “Cmon!”
One thing I love about Grizzly coolers is how dang tough they are. How durable are Grizzly Coolers? Let me tell you a few things - my G40 has been knocked around, dropped off the edge of picnic tables, and lost off the back of my ATV. The lid always stays secure, and besides a few bumps and bruises, IT HAS ENDURED. It still looks almost new after 4 years of abuse in the wild.

cooler customer review is that Grizzly Coolers are the toughest most durable coolers out there. And now for the moment, we're all waiting for. The story of how my lime green G40 survived the 18 wheeler. Here it goes… IT DIDN'T!
C’mon, what did you expect? It's an 18 wheeler and my cooler hit every one of those 18 wheels. It was totally mutilated. There was green alien-looking shrapnel, hot dogs, beer cans, Ice Amps, and a weekend's worth of fishing dreams cast all over the road. When I went back for the cooler, because Grizzly’s are worth going back for, I had to walk a quarter-mile to find all the pieces. NOT COOL!

"The best cooler I’ve owned, hands down. I take it out just about every weekend in the spring and summer to the lake, the racetrack and rzr riding. The durability of this thing is incredible. I forgot to tie it down in the back of my rzr and went and hit some jumps on a dirt bike track and lost the cooler off a jump I hit. It hit the ground hard and tumbled like a pair of dice on a crap table in Vegas and didn’t come open. It took a few licks but those are just character marks. Can’t speak for the drinks inside as most of them busted inside but the cooler, yet again, proved its value and worth. Will definitely buy another in the future!!"

"I am amazed with this cooler. First time out with my Grizzly 20, I had it fastened down to the bed of a utv, 90 degree plus weather, ambient heat from the exhaust and engine and my bottles of water were so cold they started to freeze! It appeared that there was no very little ice lost throughout the day. My friends couldn’t believe it, and to top it all, the cooler handled being beat all day on the back of the utv without so much as a scratch. Trust me when I say that if you follow the cooler prep instructions you will not be disappointed with this cooler.
