How to install Grizzly 400 Lid Prop

So to get started, you will just need the G400 Lid Prop kit. You can also use/download the following G400 Lid Prop Installation PDF Guide.

Required Tools:

- 5/32 Allen Wrench. - 7/16 Wrench or Socket. - Flat Screw Driver.

Things Needed?

- G400 Lid Prop Kit.

Steps to configure the How-to Schema widget:

Step 1 : Remove Plugs Using a flat head screwdriver, remove the two plugs in the top of the G400 cooler lid. g400 lid prop install - step 1 Step 2 : Remove Bolt Using a 7⁄16 wrench or socket and ⁵⁄₃₂ Allen wrench, remove the bolt between the two pieces. image-005 Step 3 : Remove Top Piece Remove the two nuts holding the top portion to the lid, remove top piece. image-017 Step 4 : Remove Bottom Piece Remove the outer nut on bottom piece, remove bottom piece. image-018 Step 5: Remove Secondary Nut Remove secondary nut. image-024 Step 6: Install Bottom Bolt Reinstall new bottom bolt with washer on inside of cooler. Add inner nut and tighten. image-032 Step7: Add Washer Add second washer to inner bottom bolt. image-047 Step 8: Install Bottom Bracket Place bottom bracket onto bottom bolt. Add another washer to outside of bottom bracket. Add nut and tighten bolt so one thread is exposed - do not over-tighten, need some free play. image-048 Step 9: Install Top Bracket Install top bracket, tighten upper bracket bolts. image-056 Step 10: Install Lid Prop Place bolt through top bracket, then a washer. Slide bottom bracket into place, no additional washer is needed. Add nut, tighten bolt, leaving a little free play. image-072 Step 11: Replace Plugs Replace finish plugs so they are flush with the top of the Grizzly 400 cooler lid. image-074
